CARMINE BEE EATER #2

  • If you have seen these Carmine Bee Eaters in real life you will notice that they nest in colonies. It's not often you'll find a lone bird flying from it's flock. This painting captures the frenetic energy of this colourful and vibrant flight as they all take off with each other. A combination of large and small creates a balanced composition and the layering of each bird allows the movement splashes to be applied with different weights. A rich combination of colour and movement.
