WHITE PEACOCK - $1900 USD | R31 500 ZAR | 1.5m x 1.2m

This was a labour of love. But above all, I learnt a big lesson painting this picture. Never give up! until you really know deep down that it's shit and no matter what you try and do, it was never meant to be painted! By my brush, that is. I started this painting believing that a pure white peacock would be stunning. But it didn't materialise at first. It looked dull and too mono toned. Then I added a metallic pink. What a mistake! So I just turned it around and left it for weeks. Eventually I returned to it with a different headspace. I was determined to get it to a place where I really loved it, where I could hang it anywhere and be happy with the outcome. I completely changed the palette to a complimentry gold and deep prussian blue. It was a proper internal struggle but we got there. I love this piece for everything it holds. 

I stick to a simple process that creates a smooth purchace experience. Especially when buying art from abroad. 

• Receive a 50% deposit.

• Share and swop reference pictures if needed.

• Share initial sketches or base applications to start.

• Share progress pictures.

• Share picture of final artwork

• Receive final 50% fee.

• Ship it.

There are two ways to ship:

• Flat pack - Artwork stays on the canvas and shipped as is.

• Rolled - Artwork is destreched, rolled and shipped in a tube.

Flat pack prices to the USA: *Using 120cm x 120cm as a guide.

• 1.2m x 1.2m - Collect and crate (from the artist) : R1900 ZAR, $103 USD | Courier : R8890 ZAR, $482 USD. Total - $585 USD

Rolled prices to the USA:

• 1.2m x 1.2m - Collect / unstretch / tube: R750 ZAR, $40 USD | Courier: R2575 ZAR, $140 USD. Total : $180 USD
