Anyone who has visited our beautiful South African coastline will have encountered our audacious and confident Seagulls. They have no problem dive bombing your hot chips or sandwiches. But part of the fun is throwing them a hot chip (french fry) and watching their effortless skill catching it in mid air. The original thought was to capture a few seagulls and chips, filling the canvas with chaotic energy, but I thought I'd capture this singular focus. Bird and chip. A single golden treasure in mid air. I also originally painted a detailed hot chip but the comic representation stole from the elegance and detail of the bird, so I changed the feel to have more of a fine art, mature angle, allowing the seagull to take all the glory. Overall, It also represents a good day out! Something that most locals and tourists have had the pleasure of experiencing. 

I stick to a simple process that creates a smooth purchace experience. Especially when buying art from abroad. 

• Receive a 50% deposit.
• Share and swop reference pictures if needed.
• Share initial sketches or base applications to start.
• Share progress pictures.
• Share picture of final artwork
• Receive final 50% fee.
• Ship it.

There are two ways to ship:

• Flat pack - Artwork stays on the canvas and shipped as is.
• Rolled - Artwork is destreched, rolled and shipped in a tube.

Flat pack prices to the USA: *Using 120cm x 120cm as a guide.

• 1.2m x 1.2m - Collect and crate (from the artist) : R1900 ZAR, $103 USD | Courier : R8890 ZAR, $482 USD. Total - $585 USD

Rolled prices to the USA:

• 1.2m x 1.2m - Collect / unstretch / tube: R750 ZAR, $40 USD | Courier: R2575 ZAR, $140 USD. Total : $180 USD
