I have always been inspired by James Yates art and the way he paints mountains. For this artwork I wanted to capture a landscape, paint that well and then add the chaos over that. Camps Bay with the apostles in the background always captures the picturesque identity of cape town so that became the base. Add a very windy day and that gave me the concept of someone's hat flying across the composition allowing the splat trail to happen. And something a bit different to most landscapes.
I stick to a simple process that creates a smooth purchace experience. Especially when buying art from abroad.

Ship it.
There are two ways to ship:

Flat pack - Artwork stays on the canvas and shipped as is.

Rolled - Artwork is destreched, rolled and shipped in a tube.

Flat pack prices to the USA: *Using 120cm x 120cm as a guide.

1.2m x 1.2m - Collect and crate (from the artist) : R1900 ZAR, $103 USD | Courier : R8890 ZAR, $482 USD. Total - $585 USD

Rolled prices to the USA:

1.2m x 1.2m - Collect / unstretch / tube: R750 ZAR, $40 USD | Courier: R2575 ZAR, $140 USD. Total : $180 USD

*Surcharges on tube sizes bigger the 120cm.
