CHEWING WILD NGUNI
There aren't as many good profile pics of an Nguni as you might think! However, this one has a little smile in it. The slight movement of his mouth and the angle in which he appears into the canvas gave me a fun feeling so I though I needed to share this. The splat technique continues through all the Nguni's I paint. The style is the origin of all my paintings as it set the standard based on the authentic look and feel of these cows. Nguni's look like someone has splattered paint on them. Each rough, unique and individual. This is how I saw them and so the technique was born. The style translates and evolves through all my paintings as I steadily capture the energy of Africa.
