The second in a series of 3 paintings. The first being a commission from a client living in Italy. Originally there were meant to be a few birds on this canvas as you rarely see one in a shot. After trying a few layouts I rested on letting the canvas format dictace the outcome. 1.8m long and 90cm high helped focus the end result of one solitary bird flying swiftly across the canvas integrating the movement lines and splahes to enhance to motion and energy. A singular flat, grey-blue sky colour keeps the bird the centre of attention. 

I stick to a simple process that creates a smooth purchace experience. Especially when buying art from abroad. 

• Receive a 50% deposit.

• Share and swop reference pictures if needed.

• Share initial sketches or base applications to start.

• Share progress pictures.

• Share picture of final artwork

• Receive final 50% fee.

• Ship it.

There are two ways to ship:

• Flat pack - Artwork stays on the canvas and shipped as is.

• Rolled - Artwork is destreched, rolled and shipped in a tube.

• 1.2m x 1.2m - Collect and crate (from the artist) : R1900 ZAR, $103 USD | Courier : R8890 ZAR, $482 USD. Total - $585 USD

Rolled prices to the USA:

• 1.2m x 1.2m - Collect / unstretch / tube: R750 ZAR, $40 USD | Courier: R2575 ZAR, $140 USD. Total : $180 USD
