GOLDEN HUMMINGBIRD - $1800 USD | R30 000 ZAR | 1.2m x 1.2m

Originally created for one of my first exhibitions, this Hummingbird was painting as part of a set. Sometimes it works out that one painting is just better than the other. This one got snapped up by a couple in Newlands, Cape Town and the other one just remained on the gallery wall. I tried to rescue it, messed it up completely and eventually decided to scrap it! So this little (big) bird is now flying solo in a happy home. The style is adopted form my orignal Nguni paintings, capturing the movement and energy of these darting spots of colour.

I stick to a simple process that creates a smooth purchace experience. Especially when buying art from abroad. 

• Receive a 50% deposit.

• Share and swop reference pictures if needed.

• Share initial sketches or base applications to start.

• Share progress pictures.

• Share picture of final artwork

• Receive final 50% fee.

• Ship it.

There are two ways to ship:

• Flat pack - Artwork stays on the canvas and shipped as is.

• Rolled - Artwork is destreched, rolled and shipped in a tube.

Flat pack prices to the USA: *Using 120cm x 120cm as a guide.

• 1.2m x 1.2m - Collect and crate (from the artist) : R1900 ZAR, $103 USD | Courier : R8890 ZAR, $482 USD. Total - $585 USD

Rolled prices to the USA:

• 1.2m x 1.2m - Collect / unstretch / tube: R750 ZAR, $40 USD | Courier: R2575 ZAR, $140 USD. Total : $180 USD

*Surcharges on tube sizes bigger the 120cm.
