The Energy of Africa moves vibrantly through all its living creatures, from its people to its biggest animals to its smallest insects. The humble African Dung Beetle is a determined and clever little character, rolling dung to their nests for egg laying and nourishment for their young. But my take was a metaphor for life. Sometimes a shit sandwich! The ball represents going through the motions, persisting and taking each day at a time. Little golden nuggets appear as opportunities and are presented on our path.  Our little support structures and pearls of wisdom that contribute to our success, whichever route we take. The painting represents taking action, to keep rolling and keep moving forward no matter how hard the struggle and you will collect a whole ton of awesomeness along your path. 

I stick to a simple process that creates a smooth purchace experience. Especially when buying art from abroad. 

• Receive a 50% deposit.
• Share and swop reference pictures if needed.
• Share initial sketches or base applications to start.
• Share progress pictures.
• Share picture of final artwork
• Receive final 50% fee.
• Ship it.

There are two ways to ship:

• Flat pack - Artwork stays on the canvas and shipped as is.
• Rolled - Artwork is destreched, rolled and shipped in a tube.

Flat pack prices to the USA: *Using 120cm x 120cm as a guide.

• 1.2m x 1.2m - Collect and crate (from the artist) : R1900 ZAR, $103 USD | Courier : R8890 ZAR, $482 USD. Total - $585 USD

Rolled prices to the USA:

• 1.2m x 1.2m - Collect / unstretch / tube: R750 ZAR, $40 USD | Courier: R2575 ZAR, $140 USD. Total : $180 USD

*Surcharges on tube sizes bigger the 120cm.
